Round Pen, Holding Pens, & Outdoor Arena
The next phase of our capital improvements is the building of a solid fenced round pen and associated holding pens. This project is a key building block to allow us to provide a safer environment for working with the more wild members of our herd. This is a step forward in improving the current facilities we have with something that will last and that maintenance will be much lower on.
Part of this project is also the installation of an outdoor riding arena. Some of our horses are getting to the point that saddle training is possible! Having an enclosed safe space for both horse and rider to continue their education is at the heart of this part of the project. It is also the part of the first phase to the refuge becoming a “hub” for local equine enthusiasts. It’s our hope that this space can be opened up to allow us to showcase our Mustangs to the public as well as offer educational clinics to the general public while bringing awareness to the work we are doing here at the refuge.
We are excited to announce that one of our donors has offered a $15,000 matching donation to this project so any contributions will go further than you know towards our goal

Let There Be Light
We are looking to bring grid power to the site! This upgrade will offer us power to our current hay barn and to our hopeful upgraded well project. Power not only offers light and outlets, but provides us with the ability to better serve our herd if/when needed.

Outdoor Arena and Round Pen
